The HMC5883L includes state-of-the-art, high-resolution magneto-resistive sensors and features automatic degaussing, offset cancellation and a 1° to 2° compass heading accuracy. The compass TinyShield incorporates circuitry for operation over the TinyDuino operating range from 3 to 5V DC. You can also use this shield with another MCU by using the 0.1in (2.54mm) pitch solder pads for power, ground, and the two I2C signals along the side of the TinyShield.
