Blueberry Home Solutions Smart Hub for Raspberry Pi
- Blueberry TXRXTemp Hum, The Blueberry wireless temperature & humidity sensor features an on-board ATMEGA329P microcontroller (MCU) giving it all the programmability & convenience of an Arduino. There is a dedicated showerproof ABS case (75-0604) for this board together with a PP3 battery. By using the sleep functions of the RFM21B sensor & ATMEGA328P, a PP3 battery will allow the board to transmit for up to a year. The transmission range is up to 300m & the data rate is up to 115k bits per second using a Hope RFM21B tranceiver module. The transmission protocol supports 250 different network groups with 30 nodes per network; by using the MCU this can be greatly extended. The wireless frequency is set to 868 M Hz for use in Europe, by default. Settings are available for other regions around the world. The ATMEGA328P is the same processor used on the Arduino UNO & this board can be programmed in the same way using either the Arduino IDE or your own preferred tool chain. Briefly, the MCU has 32 Kbytes of flash memory, 1 Kbyte of EEPROM, 2 Kbyte RAM, 23-GPIO lines, 3 timers, 6 x 10-bit A/D channels. This programmability means that you can add additional sensors or to control other devices, greatly extending the usefulness of this clever little board. This module is compatible with the Blueberry 4-character 14-segment alphanumeric display (75-0602), simply plug the two together, apply power (from a PP3 battery for example) & the display will show the temperature & humidity being updated at regular intervals. Communicate wirelessly with the Blueberry Internet of Things Controller (75-0600) which also has an 868 M Hz transceiver & because each sensor has a unique ID, multiple sensors can be linked to the same controller.
