Ice Climbing Experience Day

Are you cool enough to scale one of these incredible ice walls? Kept at a constant -12, they have been purpose built by hand to create several ice faces, complete with bumps, crevices (and icicles!) to suit a range of abilities - from beginners slopes to steep overhangs, vertical courses and confined canyons. Over one hundred tonnes of snow has been used to create approximately 300m of solid ice. Itinerary: On arrival at the venue you will be met with your instructor, who will conduct a full safety briefing and show you different climbing techniques. Then it s time to get kitted up with all the safety gear before you head to the ice wall. Your climb will be under strict supervision of an instructor at all times and tuition is on a one to one basis. This experience will last for
approximately one and a half hours, including briefing time and the issuing of safety equipment. You will spend a minimum of 40 minutes in the ice tower. Location: London (South East) or Manchester (North). Key information: On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months. Participants must be a minimum 13 years old. Under 16s must be accompanied with an adult. All participants must be in reasonable health and able bodied. All tuition is on a one to one basis and there will be a maximum of 5 climbers per session. Participants are advised to wear loose fitting clothing and all specialist clothing and equipment will be supplied on the day.
