The Sky-Watcher Explorer-150PL (EQ3-2) is a Parabolic Newtonian Reflector Telescope which features a 0.5mm ultra-thin secondary mirror supports to reduce diffraction spikes & light loss, & high quality Paraboloidal primary mirrors to eliminate spherical aberration. The mirrors are parabolised to bring all the light rays to the same focal point to produce sharp, contrast images which are full of detail. This makes it absolutely ideal for Planetary & deep sky observation.

The sturdy EQ3-2 mount offers precision & stability along with a host of other features for the serious astronomer. The mount rests firmly on a large, adjustable aluminium tripod with accessory tray. A bubble level allows for quick & accurate levelling. Slow-motion control knobs allow for continuous manual tracking of celestial objects. The precision mount features full 360 deg worm-gear tracking controls on both R.A. & DEC. axes. Dual metal setting circle dials allow quick location of target using celestial coordinates. An optional polarscope is available for aiding in polar alignment. Optional single-axis & dual-axis D.C. motor drives can be installed for auto-tracking purposes.
