Documentary profiling maverick architect Michael Reynolds. Director Oliver Hodge follows the environmentally conscious designer who sees his mission to bring his homes, which are constructed from the everyday waste that society throws away, & are self-sufficient, to the wider public. Having constructed homes from a variety of materials, including used tyres, beer cans & old water bottles, Reynolds believes that in an ever more fragile ecolological climate, his solutions represent the way forward. Hodge follows Reynolds over the course of three years, as he fights the bureaucracy & small-town mindset of local authorities who don't share his vision.
