What is the Defender Knee Brace? The PhysioRoom.com Defender Knee Brace is a tool free mesh brace for Osteoarthritis and issues with Bow Leg. The extra extension buffer relieves pain and discomfort by slowing down knee extension, preventing hyper extension and over exertion of the injured limb. Engineered to be comfortable and breathable, the Defender provides excellent support through a 3-point load shifting system that corrects knee joint alignment. How does it work? The PhysioRoom.com Defender has been specifically engineered for patients with ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL instabilities. Using aircraft grade aluminum hinges the Defender adds rigidity and support to the injured knee with its patented ROM design for easy, tool free motion. The ROM hinge allows for an easy, fast range of
motion setting that, when coupled with the extra extension buffer helps to relieve pain and provides optimum support. Featuring an open wrap-around design and adjustable straps, the Defender can be easily applied to the injured limb through the 3 point loading system. The Coolplus fabric lining keeps the wearer cool and dry by wicking away moisture from the skin ensuring that optimum comfort is always achieved. Setting the knee brace Setting is best performed under supervision of a health care professional but is simple and easy to do. Simply remove the PhysioRoom.com cover and the orange flexion and extension buffer stops and replace with the relevant flexion and extension metal stops. The sizes are corresponding and marked F and E accordingly. When the stops have been set in place,
simply replace the PhysioRoom.com plastic cover until it clicks. Your knee brace is now set and ready to use. As the injury heals and more movement is required around the joint the stops can be replaced by those with less ROM support.
