Digestizyme® provides a broad spectrum of plant-sourced enzymes: lipase, protease, glucoamylase, cellulase, bromelain & papain. Digestizyme® is suitable for vegetarians. Digestive enzymes are secreted into the digestive tract to break down food matter into its component nutrients. These can then be absorbed across the gut wall into the bloodstream. If this enzyme system does not work effectively, there may be reduced absorption of nutrients.
