The Mi Home Motion PIR sensors can be wall or ceiling mounted using either the included screws or double sided adhesive. The sensor is powered by a single AA battery, included, which will last for one year assuming 50 activations per day; longer if there are less activations. When installing the battery for the first time the sensor can be set in high/low sensitivity mode by means of a jumper. Also, whilst the battery cover is removed you should pair the device with the Gateway using wither the App or web browser. This only needs to be done once & should take only a few seconds.
