The Steam Hammer is based on Rigby's patented design & model engineers will enjoy the challenge of building an entirely different style of steam model. The completed engine can be easily run on a small boiler, the SH3 or SV3 being large enough, however, great care should be taken during operation as the stroke is very sensitive, ranging from a gentle tap to a powerful forging blow. Please remember our sets of castings require the use of a lathe & milling machine to turn them into a working steam engine.
