Samray have taken well proven & trusted PV charge controller technology & adapted it for use with the Wren micro turbine range. Thanks to the unique design of the permanent magnet alternators used on the Wren it is possible to use shunt regulation to prevent the turbine from overcharging the batteries without the need for dump loads. The heart of the controller is based around a microprocessor control providing a selection of different charging cycles using Pulse Width Modulation PWM. The controller also features a self-learning algorithm to provide accurate state-of-charge SOC metering of the battery
