Set in the heart of this attractive Cotswolds' market town, Toll Keepers Cottage is a beautifully presented cottage set in the heart of Moreton in Marsh. Spaciously arranged across three flooors, this historic & characterful cottage is an ideal base for exploring this & other popular Cotswolds towns/villages. According to local history this cottage was reserved for the town's ' Toll Collector' hundreds of years ago when the town was the centre for the region's wool & farming trade. In fact we are told the cottage contains the oldest window in Moreton!! Although much has changed, the wonky floors, flagstone floors downstairs and inglenook fireplace all give this home a very special charm. There are three bedrooms spread across the three floors (via steepish stairs). This cottage is suitable for families, friends or couples as it combines a central location with easy access to the shops & pubs in Moreton
- all just minutes away. Delightful, convenient & welcoming this historic cottage is spot on! ACCOMMODATION: Front door into spacious Living Room with two comfortable sofas, two armchairs, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, large TV, no DVD player. Top Barn, so called because of it's 'top of the hill' location (!!), unsurprisingly delivers quite spectacular views across the northern Cotswolds. With grazing cattle often roaming the field in front completing the perfect English picture, this delightful & quirky barn conversion is an excellent retreat for families who fancy something a little different. The owners (who have two other excellent cottages) have untaken a labour of love to convert the old cart shed into a spacious holiday cottage presented in a 'reverse living' style, with the living spaces upstairs & bedrooms down - thank goodness they did as the views are amazing. The bedrooms are pretty & comfortable, the living space very well appointed
- together the house is very much a 'home from home' and one we certainly enjoyed on our visit. If you're the lucky ones in the master bedroom then you've got the view up the valley that is likely to keep you in bed for a good while!!ACCOMMODATIONEntrance through to hallway with stairs leading upstairs to living space. Bedroom One, with king size double bed, view towards countryside, wardrobe & chest of drawers Bedroom Two with two single beds, wardrobe & chest of drawers Family Bathroom with super walk in shower, bath, WC & washbasin Utility Room with washing machine/dryer Upstairs A large, open plan living space with superb views. Living Area with two large sofas, TV with Freeview plus DVD player Kitchen, very well equipped electric hob, oven & grill, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge / freezer plus kitchen table with four chairs Outside There is a small courtyard/terrace area, south facing, which isn't overlooked. This can be accessed from the master bedroom or there is a small gate to the side, alternatively. Sorry no pet/no smokers. Two The Foundry

Number Two The Foundry is a high standard holiday cottage located in the heart of the Forest of Dean. The property, which dates back to circa 1800, has a rich history as one of the main warehouses servicing the busy railway that once ran through the village. Today the owners have beautifully modernised the building to create a gorgeous self catering property perfect for families or small groups alike. Internally considerable thought has gone into every detail with spacious rooms, contemporary touches and high quality materials evident throughout, including an oak kitchen and very comfortable beds. Externally, the cottage sits in the heart of the village (moments from Forest of Dean's woodlands) and there are countless places to visit all nearby including a couple of pubs that serve
food around the corner, a beautiful new cafe (wifi soon available) and post office literally on your doorstep and bike hire available in the village. The delightful heritage steam railway which still has periodic use through the summer, can be viewed from the courtyard (it stops briefly by the cottage)!
