When we visited this delightful cottage, we couldn't believe it is where it is & that you are actually IN Bath, well actually you're not, it's just that you are near the centre but you look out across open countryside!! As you pass through Bath, you suddenly find this little lane running alongside a school; Approx. 1/2 mile later & you're in the middle of nowhere, overlooking the rolling countryside of the southern Cotswolds. Hikers, birdwatchers & those in search of peace are just as likely to enjoy this super cottage as are those looking for culture, shops & a gastronomic experience, given its proximity to the heart of Bath, which is just 15 minutes away in the bus or car. Inside, the open plan ground floor gives a real sense of space which, with the woodburning stove, is just as welcoming & snug in winter as it is cool & inviting in summer. The private garden area overlooking the orchard & rolling countryside offers a super hideaway, while listening to birdsong. Kitchen/ Diner, fully equipped with electric induction hob, oven & grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment plus washer/dryer. Dining Table with up to six chairs. Upstairs Bedroom One with double bed, chest of drawers, plus hanging & storage space Bedroom Two with two single beds, chest of drawers & hanging space. Family bathroom with bath with electric shower over, WC & washbasin. Outside There is a bench immediately outside the property, ideal for an early coffee or sundowner. A few meters away across the grass is a private garden area for guests use only, overlooking the fields & area of Englishcombe. At the end of the house driveway you are back in Bath & thus a short drive from the city centre. It is possible to catch the bus, either way your journey will be about 15mins & your surrounded by the history, culture & shops of Bath. Sorry No Pets (the owners have two dogs & chickens).
