South View Cottage, Visit Britain Four Stars, is another very high quality holiday cottage situated in an idyllic location just outside the village of Bourton on the Water. The owners have created a very welcoming holiday cottage which is absolutely ideal for families or two couples. Situated on the edge of the owners grounds, the cottage enjoys a private location overlooking fields in one direction & the tennis court in another, with the beautiful Cotswold hills in the distance. Internally the cottage is presented to a very high standard with good consideration given by the owners to ensuring that guests have a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Externally the cottage has a 'sun trap' terrace to the side with a grassed garden area beyond. There is a tennis court for use as well as a games room if more competition is required! An excellent cottage in a central Cotswolds location that is just ideal for either relaxing or touring the region. ACCOMMODATIONEntrance through to lobby, one step down to: Kitchen, fully equipped with, electric hob & oven, microwave, fridge with freezer box, washing machine with dryer and dishwasher. Dining Table with six chairs Living Room, a spacious room overlooking the terrace & garden, with two large sofas, two armchairs large flatscreen TV with Freeview, DVD player plus iPod docking station and electric woodburning stove within stone fireplace. Also from lobby, 3 steps up to: Bedroom One with double bed, wardrobe & views towards fields Bedroom Two with double bed with wardrobe plus additional elevated room (not enclosed) with additional single bed*. Bathroom with bath, shower over, WC & washbasin Outside There is a large, private terrace area to the side of the cottage with table & chairs for up to six people & BBQ. in addition there is a grassed area, however please note that none of this is enclosed, although there are only fields in one direction & the owners private gardens surrounding! There is a tennis court & games with table tennis & pool table for guests use also. One Friendly Dog welcome, by arrangement (owner has 2 friendly labradors). Children Welcome. Cot & High Chair available. Off street parking. Sorry No Smokers. Limited Internet available (charges apply, please ask owner on arrival). superb Welcome Pack including cereal, bread, fresh coffee, milk, eggs, butter & wine! Any Day changeover considered, except Summer school holidays when Friday preferred. * Please note that the extra bed is available at no cost for a party of four, but £40 is charged for parties of 5 persons. Bourton-on-the-Water with the River Windrush running through the middle of it, has a variety of excellent shops, pubs, restaurants & childrens attractions. It is centrally placed for visiting all the famous beauty spots & is easy driving distance from Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, Oxford & Cheltenham. There are many good walks in the area.
