Visit the Wallace Collection for afternoon tea that's a very genteel English affair! There's something very calming & serene about this rather lovely restaurant & cafe that is in the heart of this wonderful little museum. This voucher gives you the chance to discover this one of London's best kept secrets…just don't tell everyone!A couple of minutes' walk from the bustle of Regent Street & you'll find yourself at Manchester Square an oasis of calm. Overlooking the lush green little park is a rather elegant building that dates from the late 18th century. Hertford House was the London townhouse of Sir Richard Wallace the benefactor of the Wallace Collection. On his widow's death this grand residence & the entire collection was left to the nation for us all to enjoy. & indeed anyone can take a wander around the series of galleries displaying some of the 5 500 artefacts in the extensive collection. Entrance is free & there are paintings porcelain & furniture pieces from the 13th to the 19th century to admire. Amazingly nothing is every loaned out & no article can ever leave the collection
- a condition of the bequest by Lady Wallace. Now you've had a chance to marvel at the masterpieces from the likes of Turner Rembrandt & Gainsborough admired the fine Sevres porcelain & lingered over the exquisitely crafted furniture it's time for that most traditional of English affairs… Your afternoon tea will be served in the atrium restaurant. The inner courtyard of the Wallace Collection was given a beautiful glass roof in 2000 with the idea of creating the outdoors indoors. It's a lovely light & airy conservatory-style space that can be used all year round thanks to a clever underfloor heating/cooling system. Tables & chairs are nestled around sculptures & plants with a 19th century fountain recovered from the Wallace's French chateau as the rather ornate centrepiece. A superb setting then for your Wallace Collection afternoon tea. & to be in keeping with the bygone age colonial feel you can expect the the most delicate cakes sandwiches with the crusts cut off & fine loose let tea (or coffee). The highlight; has to be the homemade fruit or plan scones with Cornish clotted cream & preserves. As we said this delightful little museum is a real hidden gem in the middle of the capital that is sure to please.

WRC Driving Experience

Warning: this is not your standard Polo Focus or Impreza drive - this is a 300bhp WRC style driving experience! Here's your chance to drive a World Rally Championship-styled Polo with a Focus RS or Impreza STi drive too. These WRC-style experiences take place on the tarmac circuit at this renowned driving experience operator’s base in Staffordshire.

The Volkswagen Polo R WRC car put driver Sebastien Ogier and his co-driver Julien Ingrassia in the record books with four consecutive WRC title wins. A feat only matched by four other drivers. What makes it even more impressive is the fact that it was the Polo’s first season in 2013 with a dream start to boot as Ogier won the opening Rallye de Monte Carlo. The Polo you’ll be driving has all the gadgets and gizmos of a WRC
car right down to the roll cage and upgraded suspension.

The Ford Focus RS WRC replaced the highly successful Ford Escort RS WRC. Built for Ford World Rally Team by Ford Europe and M-Sport in Cumbria the first generation Focus made its rally debut in Monte Carlo with Colin McRae at the wheel. Marcus Gronholm went on to have 12 WRC rally wins in the Focus and fellow Fin Mikko Hirvonen clocked up a dozen wins too. The WRC-type Ford you’ll be driving certainly packs a punch worthy of any rallyer so let’s see how you handle all that torque.

And of course the Subaru Impreza WRX STi is the stuff of legend from the golden age of rallying in the 80s and 90s. This was when ProDrive was unstoppable with those souped up all wheel drive Scoobies. And quite frankly this
was the car that everyone wanted. And who can blame them? This is a mythical car that must be driven at least once!

For these WRC-style driving experiences you’ll be driving for six laps in the Polo and another six in either the Subaru or the Focus (it’s your choice!). All cars are similar to the ones to compete in the FIA World Rally Championship. If you go for the Polo Thrill voucher you will be adding an extra session in a Renault Clio trying handbrake turns and a high speed passenger ride in a hot hatch too.
