You buy your voucher for two book your date & then you get to choose which watersports activity you fancy doing from a whole load that are laid on for you on the day at this impressive centre. So what sort of watersports are on offer in Sunderland? Well you can go on the water with canoeing kayaking paddle boarding or even bell boating. For the uninitiated a bell boat is like two large side-by-side canoes connected by a platform

Well yes it is a bit… All activities are supervised & hosted by qualified instructors. They're all super friendly & patient encouraging you all the time. The idea here is that everyone is welcome to come & have a go at whichever watersport they fancy. & this sunny corner of Sunderland with its large stretch of golden sand & superb backdrop of cliffs & rocks is a great place for watersports. Roker is a family-friendly beach just north of Sunderland's city centre & has been awarded Blue Flag state meaning it is clean & safe. The waters are ideal for getting to grips with all those paddle & board sports as the waves aren't too huge or intimidating. The watersports school is Sunderland's finest. It boasts a prime position right on the beachfront & offers great facilities including changing rooms clothes lockers hot showers & a teaching room. Everything you need for your chosen watersport is included you just need to bring swimwear towel & a pair of shoes that you don't mind getting wet (and they have to be ones that won't come off!).
