Introducing indoor archery in Northampton! Fire arrows whatever the weather at this wonderful Northamptonshire archery facility. We are offering excellent value 'have a go' sessions for you to give this fun target sport a try. An indoor archery centre like this one in Northampton is a rare thing. It means you can go & shoot some arrows during the day at weekends & perhaps more importantly in the evenings to fit in with our ever-increasingly busy lifestyles. Paul Hopkins is the man behind this successful Northamptonshire archery centre. Open since 2018 the passionate archer has created a superb set-up. It's bright & airy & has been designed with a line of archery lanes each one with a classic round target to shoot at. You'll be welcomed by Paul who'll explain what'll happen on your taster archery experience. You'll then be kitted out with a modern recurve bow (they're the same sort of bows as used in the Olympics) before heading to your lane on the range. Once in position how to lift & hold your bow will be explained to you along with how to load (or 'knock' in archery speak) your arrows. Stance sorted arrow knocked & you're ready to release. Paul will give you tips on how best to take aim & before you know it you'll be getting those arrows flying straight & true. As a beginner you'll start at around six metres away from the targets moving progressively further away as your skills improve. & to give you an idea competitive archery is at 18-metres
- which seems impossibly far away! Your introductory indoor archery session in Northampton will last around an hour & in that time you'll be surprised how far you'll progress. Paul is a great teacher with budding archers praising his patience & clear instructing. Suitable for all ages from ten years old anyone can try indoor archery at anytime come rain or shine!

These Isle of Wight boat cruises are sold on an individual passenger basis (where you’ll be part of a group of up to 12 on the boat) or you can charter the whole vessel for up to 12 of you. The itinerary for both is the same with you cruising out of the marina towards the Isle of Wight.

Heading along Southampton Waters you get a superb view of the estuary as it widens out into the Solent. This is also where the ferries operating the Southampton to East Cowes are routed so don’t be surprised if you find yourselves playing in the wake of the big boats!

As Cowes & East Cowes come into view you’ll see why Cowes is synonymous with sailing & boating. This is the home of the famous Cowes Week sailing regatta which is one of the longest-running in the world hosting up to 1000 boats every August for races & events.

After exploring the estuary where the River Medina meets the Solent you’ll power off around the headland to catch a glimpse of Osborne House from the water. This was Queen Victoria & Prince Albert’s summer retreat

Introduction To Windsurfing For Two Chepstow

Windsurfing near Chepstow - ideal for beginners! These vouchers are for two people to have a half-day windsurfing lesson together at this renowned water sports venue near Chepstow. Aimed at beginners with little or no windsurfing experience this Chepstow centre aims to build confidence and get you out on the water successfully standing up and windsurfing in a straight line across the water. It might involve a few falls on the way but it's all good fun - and the instructors are all very patient. Your lesson will take place on the lagoon at the National Diving and Activity Centre. It's the ideal place for novices as winds are light. If they're too strong you just won't get your balance and it all becomes a bit frustrating. With gentle breezes you should be able to get up on the board and get
going in no time. The great thing about this Chepstow centre is that your session lasts for three hours. That gives you plenty of time for introductions to be shown around your sail and board rig to learn how to launch get on (and off) the board and start moving across the water. Then you'll be able to practice what you've been taught. By the end of the half day you will hopefully feel like you've learnt a lot. When you arrived you didn't even know your boom from your balance point. And now look at you - smoothly gliding across the waters deftly handling the rig like you've been windsurfing a whole lot longer than just a few hours! There's no need to be a strong swimmer for these sessions. As long as you're confident in water that's great. You'll also have a buoyancy aid that'll help you
float. All this makes windsurfing at Tidenham near Chepstow a great option for two of you to try a new watersport together. Get booked in before everyone gets wind of what's happening at the National Diving Centre!
