Prized for its undemanding nature, reliable crop of tasty fruit & amazing versatility, ‘ Ontario’ is a sturdy cultivar & exceptionally hardy. Easy to grow & self-fertile, ' Ontario' is covered in a profusion of white blossom in spring, followed by sweet medium sized oval plums that are delicious?eaten straight from the tree, with yellow skin tinged with green & succulent golden flesh. For cooking, the sweet flesh separates easily from the stone, making this an excellent choice for jams, jellies & other fruit preserves, or poached with custard!supplied as an established plant, 90-110 cm (3-3½ ft) tall in a 5 L pot growing to a height & spread of 3 m (10 ft). Care Water regularly, & apply a mulch of well-rotted compost or manure over winter. Stone fruit should not be pruned during winter, to minimise the risk of infection – early summer is the ideal time. Established trees don't require radical pruning; just take off any diseased, dying or damaged branches. Look at the overall shape & aim for an open structure of branches, removing any that cross over so they don't damage each other. Hang wasp traps in trees & harvest crops as soon as they ripen. Avoid leaving windfalls or overripe fruit on the ground. Thin overcrowded fruits in mid-June to allow the plums to grow & to stop branches breaking under their weight. Contents 1 x Tree ...

This could possibly be the tastiest of all the plums, & a tough hardy tree.A cross between a gage & a plum, easy to grow & self-fertile, ' Opal' is an incredibly heavy cropper, producing an abundance of small sweet plums that taste absolutley delicious. The fruits are delightfully rustic looking with their skins in shades of violet, red & yellow. Offering excellent disease resistance & vigorous growth, if you only plant one plum tree, this is the one! Great for making jam & other preserves, but actually considered too juicy for a traditional plum pie, so try it in a crumble instead! Slightly earlier to crop than most other plums, & a week or so earlier than ' Victoria', the fruits mature on the tree over a two week period, so you can enjoy them for longer. Supplied as an established plant 90-110cm tall in a 5L pot for immediate planting out. Reaching a height & spread after 10 years 3m. Care Water regularly, & apply a mulch of well-rotted compost or manure over winter. Stone fruit should not be pruned during winter, to minimise the risk of infection – early summer is the ideal time. Established trees don't require radical pruning; just take off any diseased, dying or damaged branches (the three Ds). Look at the overall shape & aim for an open structure of branches, removing any that cross over so they don't damage each other. Hang wasp traps in trees & harvest crops as soon as they ripen. Plumbago 'Capensis Blue' 1.5L

Plumbago 'Capensis Blue' 1.5L A superb summer patio plant, adding a tropical flavour to your garden or patio - their clear sky-blue flower clusters smother this informal, scrambling shrub, which works well in large pots with cane supports. Grow outside all summer, it will need winter protection, as can be damaged below 2C, but will regrow away from the base the following year when it warms up again. In warmer parts of the country, especially in sheltered towns, plumbago will grow as an herbaceous perennial, dying down to ground level before reshooting in late spring. The clusters of phlox-like flowers are subtly scented and will attract butterflies and hoverflies into your garden, making them a great plant for wildlife. Also known by its common name of Cape Leadwort, Plumbago is
named from the Latin word plumbum, meaning lead, as it was believed to be a cure for lead poisoning. A great colour addition for summer long colour, and unusual too as it is seldom offered for sale. Specifications Ideal for: Instant Impact/Pots/Borders/Patio Flowers: June - October Position: Full Sun/Partial Shade Height/Spread: 250cm x 100cm Hardiness: Frost Tender - provide protection in the winter Supplied as: an established plant, in a 1.5L pot.
