The R100 gives you access to thousands of internet radio stations, you will be sure to find a station you will enjoy. Spotify Connect is also included to allow you to listen to over 30 million songs through your Spotify subscription. The R100 has built in Bluetooth too, which means that you can play your own music off a mobile device. The integrated carry handle means carrying the R100 round is a breeze, if you partner it with the battery pack which clips on the bottom of the device, you can take the music with you.

Portable music players with headphones have undoubtedly killed off the traditional 'transistor radio' as we knew it, but nevertheless from talking with customers we found that many still desire a radio that can be carried & enjoyed where mains power is not available.

As always with Ruark Audio we've not followed convention! Placing batteries inside a radio steals valuable speaker capacity & this often results in poor sound quality. To overcome this we developed an optional rechargeable power pack which attaches & integrates onto the back panel of the new R1. Called ' Back Pack' this stylish device provides power for hours of 'mains-free' listening. The power supply that comes with R1 doubles as a charger making R1 always ready for picnics or just 'chilling out' in the bath.
