This lovely nostalgic scene depicts an idyllic summer's day in Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds. Families are enjoying a day out in the beautiful English countryside; either a "spin" in the car, a trip on the bus or packing everything up into the motorbike & sidecar. Some visitors have obviously brought their own refreshments, whilst others seem keen to find the nearest tea room. This nostalgic painting by Kevin Walsh depicts London in the " Swinging sixties". We can see a snapshot of London life in Parliament Square, with Big Ben in the background. Some people are waiting for the Routemaster bus, but we reckon the "city gent" is going to hail the black cab close by. To give a really authentic flavour to the scene artist Kevin Walsh has also included a blue mini. We think the man at the bus stop looks very like Austin Powers, so all in all this scene really is " Groovy Baby".
