Heritage Collection Broad Bean Dreadnought is a heritage Longpod for flavour. Pods are produced in abundance containing 7 to 8 plump white beans per pod ready to harvest in June. One of the best broad beans for freezing as seeds do not discolour. Height to 120cm (4').

Sow seed February under cloches March to April outdoors. Ideally sow in double rows 5cm deep & 20-23cm apart in the row with 20-23cm between each row. Allow at least 60cm between each double row. Germination takes about 10 days.

Support the plants as they grow by placing a cane or stout stick at each corner & tying in with string especially in windy gardens.

Aftercare:
Pinch out growing tips once first pods have set to deter Blackfly. Keep well watered particularly when flowers are setting.
