Sow petunias from February to April on the surface of a good seed compost & gently firm down. Lightly cover the seed with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 21-25C or seal it inside a polythene bag. Keep the soil damp but not wet. Do not exclude light as this aids germination which usually takes 10-21 days.
When petunia seedlings are large enough to handle transplant & grow them on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When petunia plants are well grown & all risk of frost has passed acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Transplant into well drained soil at a distance of 30cm apart or grow in containers in full sun. Feed & water petunia plants regularly particularly during hot dry periods. Regular deadheading of petunia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

Germination usually takes up to 21 days. When sunflower seedlings are large enough to handle thin them out to 30cm apart.
Alternatively sow indoors in individual 7.5cm pots from March to April at a temperature of 20-25C. Once germinated grow sunflower plants on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed. Feed & water sunflower plants regularly. A separate Monocrystalline
Highlight your garden at night with these stunning Flower Solar Lights. Create a beautiful effect around a shrub trellis or any other favourite feature & then sit back & watch as the transparent lights come to life in the evening.
A separate Monocrystalline solar panel means that you can install the lights in areas of shade & control them with one switch. You also have the added option of removing the flower decoration & can change the lighting effect from constant to twinkling or even flashing.
We recommend that you position the solar panel so it is exposed to direct sunlight for as long as possible; however at darker times of the year it is best to recharge the batteries in a rechargeable unit.
Cable length: 4.35m of lights with 15cm cable between each light
90cm lead in from solar panel to first light
