GIGI RUF’S Ge N Re De FYING ALL Te RRAIN FRee STYLe FUN MACHINe It wouldn’t be exaggerating to say the Happy Place has wholly shifted the goalposts when it comes to lower-priced snowboards. With a spec list that reads like a pro model & a level of performance that isn’t too far behind, this utterly stunning snowboard embarrasses pretty much every other board in its price category. Built around a symmetrical twin tip shape, Slash calls the Happy Place a freestyle board, but the reality is, it’s so much more than that. Thanks to its class-leading performance, it delivers a ride out & about on the mountain that is nothing short of incredible, especially at its price. I guess that’s why over the years it’s taken multiple awards, including a prestigious Transworld Good Wood. Rider Style Basic Intermediate through to advanced riders looking for a high performing freestyle board that’s at home out & about the mountain. Shape Overview Utilising a unique twin tip platform, the Happy Place delivers a balanced freestyle friendly ride that ensures no matter what or where you ride, you’ll always feel like you know exactly what’s going on under your feet. However, the Happy Place is more than just a freestyle board. Thanks to its state of the art nose & tail profile it delivers excellent performance in the pow. But what really sets this board apart is how it rides on the piste. Its combination of progressive sidecut & Ultimate Traction edges, deliver a level of performance on groomers that will blow your mind. The progressive sidecut design blends multiple radii & smooth contact points for buttery turn initiation, edge-to-edge transition & edge hold. While the Ultimate Traction edges place a small counter radius (bump) in the middle of the board’s sidecut, improving edge hold without creating drag or strange edge grip. Profile One of the key contributors to the Happy Place’s stunning performance is the innovative 2nd generation Cam Rock profile. This steps up the board's performance & helps deliver that all-terrain versatility that has made it such a success. The floaty, c catch-free rocker at both the tip & tail, provides excellent float in the pow with complete confidence inspiring hook-free feel on rails & boxes. While flat zones just outside the insert packs, create a stable platform to load up for increased ollie power & pop. Finally, the traditional camber between the feet powers up the sidecut & adds response & stability. Construction Internally the Happy Place is jam-packed with some of the most advanced construction seen at this price point. Heading this up is the state of the art Pop core which is formed from durable poplar reinforced with both beech & spruce stringers. The beech strips are laid through the inserts from tip to tail for power transfer; while the sturdy spruce stringers run from just outside the inserts back out to the tip & tail increasing pop & precision. To this Slash then add structural layers created from a softer flexing Bi-Ax glass. This two-way weave of fibreglass with strands running every 90-degrees is more forgiving, easier to flex & highly versatile for all types of riding. Slash’s then add their Sweet Spot bracing which features two carbon fibre stringers stretching outward from the inserts to the contact points in both the tip & the tail. These increase pop, generate stronger edge hold & create a more playful ride. Base The Happy Place’s sintered base is fast, durable & requires less waxing. This higher spec base is unusual at this price point as most brands use a cheaper, low-density extruded material. The Nahaul is Slash's take on the new generation of shaped freeride boards & is the big mountain weapon of choice for Manuel Diaz. However unlike most of its competitors, Slash has designed the Nahual to be more than just a hard charging powder board. Thanks to its innovative directional twin chassis, not only does it deliver a floaty & stable high speed ride, it also delivers a control & balance that you just don't expect with this type of board, enabling riders to take their freestyle riding to the backcountry. The Nahual is more than just a quiver board, with its flat profile & Ultimate Traction edges this is one board that is equally happy charging over the rest of the mountain, so if you just want a great performing snowboard for blasting around you really won't find this wanting in any way, shape or form. Internally Slash doesn't hold back when it comes to the Nahual's construction, it's jam packed with state of the art design & materials, underlining its performance credentials. Heading this up is the lightweight Powder core, this combines paulownia & poplar with beech stringers, creating a feather weight but lively & dynamic foundation to the board. To this Slash add structural layers formed from a combination of Bi-Ax glass on the lower band & Tri-Ax on the upper. This gives the Nahual the optimum torsional flex for riding fast without really compromising the boards freestyle characteristics. But that's not all, in addition Slash also utilise their Carbonbon carbon bracing & the carbon/ kevlar Landing Strip technology. These add carbon cross braces between the base & lower structural layers & carbon/kevlar strips running from the nose & tail to the inserts & add another layer of pop & power to this stunning snowboard. Finally the high speed sintered HD gives unrivalled glide no matter the conditions. Product Description

The Nahual is the big mountain weapon of choice for Manuel Diaz. Built for control, speed & maximum attack, this freeride powerhouse is for those riders who understand that speed & gravity are their best friends. Built around an innovative directional twin shape with the new Preload flat base profile, it gives the perfect combination of powder board float but with a more balanced feel for popping off those big backcountry booters. Want to charge the piste? No problem.

The combination of flat profile & Ultimate Traction edges gives a truly solid locked on ride. Internally the lightweight wood core combines Paulownia & Poplar with Beech stringers to create a lively & dynamic flex through the length. The structural layers are then formed from bi-ax glass on the lower band & tri-ax on the upper to give the optimum torsional flex for riding fast without being overly aggressive. But, thanks to the new Carbonbon carbon bracing & the carbon/ kevlar landing strips running from the nose & tail to the inserts, this is one board that you can be sure won't let you down no matter how fast you ride. The sintered base is designed for pure speed.
