...The Foundation 100 RP is on the path to legendary status. The classic RP shaping combines a 15m radius with a shorter effective edge to promote performance that is both forgiving to pivot & slide, yet powerful & reactive when locked into a carve. A tapered, flatter sidecut section that blends at the contact points adds performance & smoothness in all conditions. Using a triaxial fiberglass laminate with unidirectional carbon stringers means that the ski is still super poppy & fun, but compared to the more aggressive Alchemist range they feel a bit more damp & forgiving to use. Get the most out of your all-mountain 100mm selection with a ski that makes your skiing easier & still has many higher performance characteristics. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type The F100 simply works whatever the conditions. It carves & cruises on marked runs a like a much narrower all mountain ski, & thanks to the width & construction it deals with any conditions when you get it off-piste. In powder the rocker & RP shaping create effortless turns. As DPS often comment, it is the Daily Driver, the ski to take when you need it to work everywhere. Skier Type Advanced skiers who want one ski to do everything, spending plenty of time off-piste whether skiing fresh snow or mixed conditions & still capable of cruising & carving when on groomed runs. It is slightly more forgiving than the Alchemist version but it still has plenty of energy & the shape ensures it is playful. Heavier intermediates would enjoy it too. Overview Shape The RP shape is both surfy & intuitive. The tapered tip & tail initiate turns effortlessly & allows them to be exited with clean carves or easily washed out. 100mm provides impressive float when you find soft snow, working with the shape to allow the ski to flow through turns in powder & keep a fun. surfy feel even when the snow isn’t deep or you’re on groomers. The turny 15m radius feels great on firmer snow & helps create the flowing feel in softer conditions. Rocker Rocker at the tip & tail equates to 45% rocker. Sounds like a lot but it works perfectly with the shaping. The camber underfoot makes the most of the carbon construction & playful 15m radius. Core The bi-phase wood core of poplar & bamboo ensures the weight is kept down & both durability & liveliness are prioritised. Construction Sidewalls maximise the precision & the energy transfer, resulting in the best levels of edge grip & control. The Foundation build employs a combination of techniques to maximise performance. Key Features Foundation A supremely damp, powerful, & durable construction. employing best-in-class components from start-to-finish, weight was not a factor during the design process. Triaxial fibreglass wraps the bamboo & poplar bi-phase wood core, while unidirectional carbon stringers add torsional stiffness. The result is an on-snow feel that produces a wonderful blend of power & dampness, & is readily accessible to a wide range of skier profiles.RP Shaping The RP chassis started with the first Wailer 112 RP design that incorporated generous tip/tail rocker & taper. RP originally stood for ‘ Resort Powder’, & the legend began. Its shape opens doors & makes truly versatile powder planing accessible to many. The RP’s core shaping equation is impressive, 45% rocker merged with a 15m sidecut & means natural, intuitive skiing.e B tester’s comments: Technical Specifications Size (cm) Tip Width (mm) Waist Width (mm) Tail Width (mm) Radius (m) Weight (g)171131100117151840179132100117151930184133100118152050189134100119152200 General Information Skier Ability: Advanced/expert Terrain Type: Freeride Rocker: Tip/ Tail Rocker Radius: Short Base: Sintered Bindings: n/a DIN: n/a Construction: Full Sidewall Core: Wood, Carbon Demo: Yes Sizing Description: Forehead to over head height.
