ALL-Te RRAIN POWe RHOUSe FOR HARD CHARGING BIGGe R/ He AVIe R RIDe RS. The problem with being a bigger, heavier rider is that you’re stuck for choice when it comes to choosing a board. For sure there’s plenty of wide versions of most models available, but they’re all just wider versions of the standard board made primarily for riders with bigger feet. The 2021 Bataleon Stallion is completely different, designed from the ground up for heavier riders, this all-terrain charger combines advanced design with carefully selected high-end manufacturing to deliver stunning performance for the larger rider. Built around a wide platform directional twin chassis with Bataleon’s advanced Freestyle 3BT profile, the Stallion is happy in any type of terrain & any kind of conditions; ensuring that no matter what or where you ride, this is one board that’s going to deliver. Internally Bataleon utilises some of the most advanced construction available to deliver a board that’s going to perform no matter how big or heavy you are or how hard you push it. Rider Style: All Terrain experienced to expert riders who are looking for a hard-charging all-terrain board that will let them take it to the max in all types of terrain & conditions. Shape Overview: Directional Twin The Stallion utilises a state of the art, freeride inspired directional twin chassis. This versatile shape combines all the feel & control of a true twin, with the stability, power & response that you would typically only get from a directional board. With its slight increase in nose volume & overall width, the Stallion delivers excellent float in the pow & a stable & solid ride on the piste. Profile: Freestyle Triple Base As with the rest of the Bataleon range, it’s the unique Freestyle 3BT shape with Side Kicks technology that sets the Stallion apart from its competitors. This advanced 3D base profile combined with overall traditional camber delivers truly stunning performance in all types of terrain. The Freestyle 3BT profile divides the base at the front & back of the board into three equally proportionate sections. The two side-base sections are then angled upwards with a medium height uplift to create the 3BT trademark profile. Combine this with the traditional camber, & you have a board that not only turns easier & with more stability, but you also get a board that floats better in pow as well as being more playful & forgiving for those when you want to hit the park. Side Kicks Side Kick dramatically increases the side base uplift just outside the widest part of the nose & tail. This makes turn initiation smoother, increases float in powder & improves the handling of the board in rough terrain. Construction Internally the new Stallion utilises some of the most advanced construction available & heading this up is the all-new Super Ultra Light Air Ride Core. This advanced wood core combines 80% lightweight Swiss paulownia & 20% durable poplar with state of the art composite vibration dampening stringers in the nose & tail to create Bataleon’s lightest & smoothest ever core. This responsive yet featherweight foundation underpins the Stallions outstanding performance. To this, Bataleon then adds their innovative DRST carbon tubes technology which inserts poppy carbon tubes into pre-milled channels in the core that mimic the geometry of the sidecut. These power up the board through the turn, delivering a level of response & control that is nothing short of intoxicating. That theme is continued through to the Stallion’s structural layers, which are formed from a combination of torsionally responsive tri-ax glass reinforced with wide carbon stringers running tip to tail either side of the insert pack. These increase the flex both torsionally & through the length, ensuring that no matter how much energy you put into the Stallion, you know that it’s not going to let you down. Base: Ultra Glide S (High Molecular Sintered) To ensure that the Stallion performs at the highest level, Bataleon fit it with their high-performance Ultra Glide S base. This super tough maximum molecular weight base is one of the fastest & most durable bases on the market. Float Surface: 164w = 73 167w = 77 172w = 82 New for this season on all Bataleon Boards is the Float-Surface rating. This measurement is calculated via a complex equation that takes into account surface area, nose & tail profile & set back. This then gives you a rating on how the board lifts & floats in powder, giving you a real comparison between the new generation of short, wide board against a traditional snowboard. Float surface starts at 50 for the lowest-rated board & goes up to 96 for the highest-rated board
