It's always difficult trying to categorise what the Camel Toe is. Is it one of those new shape powder boards you add to your quiver, or is it a directional all mountain board for everyday use? Well, to be honest it's both.
So let's take a look at option 1 first. With its fully directional shape, volume nose profile & pow 3BT base profile, the Camel Toe delivers truly stunning float no matter how deep the snow. even the most cursory glance at that base profile gives you an insight of how this board will perform in the powder. By combining a narrow centre base & longer & wider high uplift side base sections in the nose with shorter side base uplift sections in the tail & a setback flat base, it's pretty obvious that the Camel Toe is going to be absolutely effortless in the deep stuff.
So how about the Camel Toe as your main board? Well mad as that sounds, it's not at all. If you're one of those riders that likes charging around the piste this board will blow your mind. Because not only does the high uplift 3BT in the nose deliver extra float, it also engages the nose more efficiently & makes the sidecut work more effectively through the turn ensuring that the Camel Toe delivers an absolutely mind blowing ride on piste.
Now one of the things that makes this board so great is that Bataleon has resisted temptation to go all guns blazing in terms of construction. By utilising softer Bi-Ax glass structural layers the Camel Toe gives a more playful ride, ensuring that this is one of the most fun boards that you can put on your feet. even though it's not the stiffest board in the world, the fact that Bataleon use their Reactive Core which places beech stringers down the edges to concentrate power down the side cut ensures that Êthe Camel Toe never really feels like it's coming up short in terms of performance.
Don't forget about that reduced 3BT in the tail though, as this really lets you sit on the turn & gives you that extra bit of power at the tail of the board that old school carvers crave.
Finally, the low maintenance Super Slick X Base uses a high molecular weight extruded material to ensure the board stays superfast with minimal maintenance.
