Shape Overview The Boss utilises a state of the art blunt tip & tail twin chassis. This unique, balanced shape delivers all the feel & control that you could ever need. ensuring that no matter how technical your park riding gets, you’ll always feel in charge. However, thanks to the innovative nose & tail profile & 3BT base shape, the evil Twin delivers quite remarkable performance away from the park. Profile Key to the Boss’s perfect balance of park performance & all-terrain versatility is the unique Twin 3BT with Side Kicks base profile. This advanced 3D base profile combined with an overall traditional camber, delivers stunning performance in all types of terrain. The Twin 3BT profile divides the base at the front & back of the board into three sections. The wide flat centre base aids stability in takeoffs & landings while the two slightly narrower side-base sections with their mellow angled uplift deliver that unique combination of the hook-free ride with increased edge hold & control. Side Kicks Side Kick dramatically increases the side base uplift just outside the widest part of the nose & tail. This makes turn initiation smoother, increases float in powder & improves the handling of the board in rough terrain. Construction Internally the Boss utilises some of the most advanced construction available to deliver its unique high-performance ride. Heading this up is the state of the art Light Core. This featherweight wood core combines poplar with lightweight paulownia to deliver the optimum balance of weight, strength, & performance. To add extra power & snap, Bataleon then adds their innovative C.S.T reinforcing. This places a hollow carbon rod into a milled-out channel on the base of the core, stepping up pop as well as powering up the camber for more snap & drive. Now to give the Boss that powerful & dynamic ride, the structural layers are formed from torsionally stiff tri-ax glass. This is then further reinforced with carbon cross bracing under the inserts to deliver a powerful & stable ride, perfect for just charging around the mountain. Base To give the Boss it super-fast glide, Bataleon fit their high-performance Ultra Glide S Base. This high-end ISO-SPORT 7000 base material is the highest molecular weight for any sintered base & delivers lightning fast glide with unrivalled durability.
