The Basic is the board that established YES in the hearts & minds of snowboarders (Basic by name, but far from basic by performance). It is aimed at riders who are looking for a board that will perform over the whole mountain, in any terrain, any snow conditions & any style of riding.

For 13/14 YES have totally redesigned the Basic, with an all new shape & construction they have stepped up the performance to a whole new level. In comes an advanced twin shape with directional volume. This means that the shapers have extended the point where the sidecut blends into the nose which allows the new blunt nose to come up easier in soft snow eliminating those back leg cramps associated with riding twins in the pow.

This works in perfect harmony with the boards Cam Rock profile, with 4mm camber under the feet for a more responsive & lively ride combined rocker in the nose & tail the Basic delivers the perfect balance of freestyle mobility with freeride performance. Add to that an all new poplar core with Beech Impact Blocks under the bindings, smooth flexing bi-ax glass & high molecular extruded base & you have a great performing board that is perfect for intermediate all the way through to pro level riders who are looking for that full quiver in one snowboard.
