WHAT WE SAY: Why YES decided to call this board the Basic we’ll never know, but one thing is for sure it’s far from basic. Designed to rip everything on the mountain it is a stunning snowboard for any rider looking for a board that will deliver in every type of terrain. Based around a blunt tip & tail twin it features Yes’s acclaimed Cam Rock profile. This combination of camber between the feet & rocker at the tip & tail delivers a responsive & snappy feel with the added benefit of increased float & a looser more playful feel. Internally the Basic is built around the advanced Master Comp wood core, this combination of different types & densities of wood delivers a really snappy ride, combine this with tri-ax glass & you get a really responsive & powerful ride.

WHAT YES SAY: Depends how you look at it. Loaded with progressive tech like directional flex & Camrock, it’s fairly advanced. Stripped down to a true twin & centred stance, it’s a shape that’s worked for years. Anyway you cut it the Basic has all mountain freestyle straight up handled.
