The BLASTER is a ski that is at home on the steepest & most committed pitches. The ski has a super-smooth flex & soft & progressive tip which makes its performance in variable conditions un-matched in this category. We opted for a fairly dynamic tail which is capable of holding the extra weight of skier associated with carrying a back-country back pack. The rigid central section of the ski is reassuring in both jump turns & bigger arcs, allowing the edges to really bite the snow surface. The BLASTER is the ideal companion for the modern high-altitude skier looking for a ski that will chew up any terrain. Ski

Three seasons in & the Movement BOND remains at the cutting edge of ski innovation. Very much a favourite with mountain professionals, the BOND is incredibly reliable on steep pitches thanks to its shape, which is slightly smaller at the tip & tail. The Rocker tip & tail allow the ski to pivot easily & whip from edge to edge in a flash, which is vital in the high alpine environment. With a mid-fat outline (84mm underfoot) & the Rocker shape, this ski is incredibly versatile & light with a very lightweight core. Reliable, dynamic & powerful – everything you need in the most demanding of alpine terrain. Movement developed their own materials (bi-axial / tri-axial) in Italy & Switzerl&. These are made up of various composites of glass fibre & carbon with differing layering / weights. The type of fibre / laminate used is intrinsically-linked to the characteristics of weight, flex & stiffness they want to achieve in each model of ski. Geometry:    120mm/84mm/109mm @177cm Turn Radius:   19 Metres  (For 177cm length) Weight:   1.4kg (for 177cm  Length) Terrain:   Classic touring Core
Material:  Light Karuba & Composite Camber/ Rocker:   Rocker Technology:  tri-axial & Carbon Bindings:   Flat Deck SKIER PROFILE Snow Conditions:   All Conditions  Ski Terrain:   Touring & Back Country Explorers Skier Level:   Advanced-Expert skiers   This is a pure touring ski built for the ultimate uphill experience, It is not quite as light as the X-series but with this in mind the ski is more than capable of a fun ride back down. Is this for me? If you are in the market for a solid touring ski that holds a great edge on steeps & has had mid-fat width this skis is always worth a look.   SKI BINDING ADVICE: You will need a minimum 90mm brake width for this ski. This ski is LIGHT so dont spoil that! For me it would be the Dynafit ST or a Fritschi Vipec, or for the non-tech boot wearers a Marker F10 . The Fritschi FR Pro would be very nice on these skis too. You can always go wider for your brakes but dont be tempted to go narrower.  View our bindings department.

Replacing the SLUFF, the new generation BUZZ is ready to take the market by storm. The ski is both maneuverable & powerful, partly due to its early-rise rocker tip & relatively small side-cut radius. The BUZZ is the perfect tool for the advanced freerider market. The short side-cut & stiff tail of this ski allow it to make powerful, controlled turns with relative ease either in deep powder or on steep pitches. Ski

The CHILL-OUT is the rightful successor to the SOURCE but takes a slightly different track from that of its predecessor towards a more polyvalent character with the use of light rocker 12 tip. Much of the rest of the ski’s geometry is borrowed from the old model. The CHILL-OUT is characterised by a powerful feeling under-foot & great stability at higher speeds. This ski is aimed at the section of the market who wants a one ski quiver that is capable of taking anything the mountain can throw at it. SKI

Specification Suggested Profile: Advanced skiers now moving across the whole mountain looking for a one ski solution. They still want to be able to speed down the piste when required too! Turning Radius: 18 Metres (177cm) Geometry: 134mm / 94mm / 121mm Profile: Tip Light Rocker Weight: 1.65KG (Skis only) Bindings: Not included – take your pick, this suits a free ride binding such  as one of the Marker models, & you could add either a standard or Schizo adjustable version for more versatility. This ski is actually quite light considering its versatility, & we have had many customers putting the Source with a touring binding to give even more versatility SKI CONSTRUCTION Core: Poplar Light ECL (Ecologic 50% Less Glue System) Laminate Layer: Dynamic Tri-Axial braided for torsion without huge weight gains, edge to edge Bases: Sintered P-Tex 4000 1.3mm base for durability & good wax adhesion, & long term durability Top sheet: Corund Shiny Special: Tip Vibration Absorbtion Technology “A firm favourite here at Edge & Wax not just because they are easy to sell, but for the reasons why! Super-easy to ski, this is aimed at the advancing to expert skier but to be honest a progressing intermediate would get a lot from this ski too. It is so easy to ski, & so versatile. I think a lot of our customers have it spot on when they pair it up with an Marker AT Touring binding such as a Baron or a Duke. IS IT FOR ME? For the progressing advanced skier wanting a one ski solution, & wishing for powder days to arrive. But so versatile it would suit anyone who can stand up straight on a pair of skis :o)
