The Blizzard Viva 7.7 Ti with its narrow, carving ski waist width, titanium laminate reinforcement & vertical sidewalls, is a high-performing ski set up perfect for hard packed piste & suitable for good intermediate to advanced level female skiers. It comes with a Marker Piston binding. The Suspension component of the IQ interface, available only in the 7.7, incorporates carbon-reinforced flex management arms that work in concert with an oil-filled piston underfoot to manage flex in a way that allows the ski to flex freely but calms vibrations quickly, especially reducing flapping at the nose of the skis so the ski is ready to engage & carve sooner in the new turn. The updated Viva series is Blizzards offering of on piste cruisers with moderate waist widths appropriate to venture off into the soft stuff if the mood takes you.  The Viva 7.7 Ti also has a touch of rocker tip & tail
- to ease transitions & absorb shocks.    Ski

Specification Profile: 121mm / 77mm / 103mm Turn Radius: 16.0m (160cm length) Core Construction:  Sandwich Composite Titanium

- 11. Features & Benefits IQ System IQ is a system that uses a track molded into the ski during manufacturing process. It is the only true fusion of skibody & binding-element. The natural performance & flex of the ski is not influenced by any mounting, drilling, screwing or glueing of seperate interfaces, elements or the binding it self. This gives the skis free flex curve, direct power transmission & a lightweight construction. Suspension Suspension technology is an active all mountain performance system, that provides maximum stability with excellent rebound energy as well as up to 10 times less vibration, more power & control from the ski, a enhanced edgegrip, more dynamics & less fatigue. Spaceframe 3D Spaceframe 3D is a special lightweight 3D reinforcement layer construction, that provides completely new

Dimensions in swingweight & torsional rigidity. Benfits being perfect balance & stability, reduced swingweight & the control of flexibility & stiffness. Sidewall Gives you better energy transmission, increased torsional stiffness & increased impact strength. IS IT FOR ME? For the advancing piste skier who wants a ski to take their carving to the next level, or an experienced carving skier who wants superb performance & edge hole, but with some shock absorption thanks to the suspension system taking our trail buzz.   Fantastic ski, really enjoyed skiing it. The edge hold was brilliant & it turned like it was on rails! Great fun ski! Performed best on piste & didnt feel out of place in any conditions

A perfect ski for the frontside hard snow performance serving up super edge grip & control. This ski is quick nimble & extremely responsive for the advanced skiers. Blizzard are a relatively new brand for us with last season being the first season that we stocked their range,   however, having had the chance to get out on them at the ski test they are already a firm favourite of many of the staff & offer some great performing skis that sold really well & gained great feedback from our regular customers.  Although not as well known here in the UK as some other brands, Blizzard have utilized their flip core technology that gives them a great fun feel whilst still offering great edge hold. The X-power 810 offers a width to sit up if there is some new snow on the ground, however it comes into its own when put hard on edge & used to carve up the mountain.  The tip & tail rocker make the skis super easy to handle whilst the IQ system enhances power transmission while reducing vibrations & fatigue... Ski

Specification Geometry: 125mm – 81mm – 108mm Turn Radius:  F: 16m;  M: 20m;  R:16m   for 174cm length Terrain:   All conditions Core
Material:  Wood / Titanium / Carbon. Camber/ Rocker:  Tip & Tail Rocker Technology:   Sandwich Compound Sidewall IQ / Race tip profile / 3 Matrix Bindings:   Blizzard IQ-TP12 CM2  Please Note: Binding colour is different to the bindings shown in image. These skis are supplied with the Black/ White/ Silver colourway bindings. Ski Profile Snow Conditions: All-Conditions Ski Terrain: Piste Skier Level: Advanced, Expert Wow.  This ski felt really solid & offered great edge hold, especially at high speeds.  It felt very powerful & cut through crud & chopped up snow really well.  It has quite a long turning radius & so is ideal if you like putting your ski on edge & putting in long sweeping turns down wide open pistes.  Requires a bit of work to get the best out of it but if you are prepared to ski it hard then it will reward you with a smooth, natural feel that will result in you getting to the bottom with a big grin over your face & time to have a beer while you wait for everyone to make their own, slow, way down! Is this for me? For the advanced to expert skier who is looking for a solid, strong & responsive piste ski for tearing up the hardpack.  This is 81 underfoot & so will cope if cutting between runs, however it is not designed for new snow & will want you to get back on the piste & carving.  A really nice ski to progress onto as you develop your skiing & want to take your performance to the next step.

The Booster strap is a World Cup proven device to help the rebound of ski boots for smoother entry & exit from turns. It is also useful as a replacement boot strap. The boot fitters here at Edge & Wax also use the Booster Ski Strap to assist in some boot fits, where a customer may have issues with dorsiflexion, where ankle movment is limited. Shin bang can also be countered in a correctly fitted boot with a booster strap. Many will have noticed the strap appearing out of the suit of many athletes, including Bode Miller. The article in question is Booster, an essential accessory for optimising ski boot performance. When used correctly, it guarantees maximum ski boot performance & therefore extraordinary ski control, improving comfort & completely eliminating the empty space between the boot tongue & shin, thus serving a shock-absorber function & aiding the prevention of shin bang & other boot maladies. The Booster Strap is made from high strenght elastomeric webbing with an anti-slip micro-adjustable cam buckle. The elastomer allows flexibility, vibration & shock damping. The cam buckle assures a better fit & more comfort. The Booster Strap elastically fastens together the leg & the ski boot & provides direct ski control so the skis will start turning sooner & and will end the turn faster. The graded elasticity of the product allows skiers to choose the reaction speeds that best suit their technical & physical characteristics & skiing ability.   CHOOSING THE CORRECT BOOSTER SKI STRAP The choice between the different models of The Booster Strap has to be done considering the following parameters:   Weight/ Height The Booster Medium or World Cup fits Heavy/ Tall athletes, Booster Soft fits Light/ Short athletes Aggressiveness Medium or World Cup fits an aggressive skier, Booster Soft fits a quiet skier Disciplines For Tech events it is suggested to ski with Medium or World Cup, for Speed events with the Soft model Stiffness of Boot’s plastics Stiff Boot → Booster Medium or World Cup, Soft → Booster Soft Stiffness of the Ski Stiff Ski → Booster Medium or World Cup, Soft Ski → Booster Soft It should be also considered that it is better to begin with a softer model rather thana stiff one. A softer model has a slower elastic response but makes much easier to feel the advantages of using The Booster Strap. Beginning with a too stiff model may not lead the skier to feel the difference. In addition it has to be considered that there is an overlap between the models & their elastic properties. As an exemple, the properties of an high tensioned Medium model can be equal to those of a low tensioned World Cup model. ...
