To keep your Acco Rexel shredder shredding efficiently & to prolong the life of the machine, oiling the cutters with Acco Rexel shredder oil is part & parcel of owning a shredder. As a rule of thumb the higher the security level & finer the cut the paper shredder makes, the more oil it will need. Also how often you oil your shredder is determined by a number of factors. Cross cut shredders need to be oiled more often than strip cut shredders. A cross cut paper shredder will require regular applications of shredder oil while a strip cut shredder can go for a longer period of time without decreased performance. The more you use your Acco Rexel shredder the more shredder oil you will need. Most manufacturers recommend oiling the cutters once every 30 minutes of continuous shredding. As a rule of thumb we recommend you oil your paper shredder every time you change the shredder bag. Oiling your Acco Rexel shredder is very simple & can be done by anybody.
