The Jaguar D Type was built purely to win races, in particular the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hour. & did it win? Of course three times on the trot! Built in the 1950s, the Jaguar D Type was one of the most innovative cars of the period, it was one of the first cars to have a monocoque chassis with disc brakes which are still widely used today & the body was sculptured to be aerodynamically efficient. For this experience you will drive a recreation of a long nose " Le Mans replica" version, painted in the famous Ecurie Ecosse racing team colours. Driving this beautiful classic car around Goodwoods historic Grand Prix circuit is an opportunity not to be missed. Programme Your day will begin with a welcome, introduction & in car safety briefing on circuit driving techniques. Then youll spend three laps around the historic Goodwood circuit behind the wheel of the legendary Jaguar DType. You will be given a certificate on completion of this experience. Please note at some locations there is an option to purchase damage waiver insurance on the day of your experience. In the event of an accident the damage waiver will cover all or part of the damage caused to the vehicle (s) however this will not cover damage caused by reckless or negligent driving. Further details are available on booking&8364;&157; Duration This experience will last Approx. 1 hour. Group There will be other people there on the day. Spectators Youre welcome to bring spectators to watch. Fitness You must be fit to drive & the maximum height is roughly 1.98m (6ft 6in). Experience A full UK or European manual driving licence with no serious offences. You may be able to do this with points on your licence but please check before purchasing. Jaguar E Type Triple Gift Set

The Series 1 was introduced in March 1961, using the triple SU carburetted 3.8 litre 6-cylinder Jaguar XK6 engine from the XK150S. The first 500 cars built had flat floors and external bonnet latches. These cars are rare and more valuable. After that, the floors were dished to provide more leg room and the twin hood latches moved to inside the car. The 3.8 litre engine was increased to 4.2 litres in late 1964. All E-Types featured independent coil spring rear suspension with torsion bar front ends, and four wheel disc brakes, in-board at the rear, power-assisted from 1964. Jaguar was one of the first auto manufacturer to equip cars with disc brakes as standard. 1:76 scale
