Jaguar D-Type At Goodwood
The Jaguar D Type was built purely to win races, in particular the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hour. And did it win? Of course three times on the trot! Built in the 1950s, the Jaguar D Type was one of the most innovative cars of the period, it was one of the first cars to have a monocoque chassis with disc brakes which are still widely used today and the body was sculptured to be aerodynamically efficient. For this experience you will drive a recreation of a long nose "Le Mans replica" version, painted in the famous Ecurie Ecosse racing team colours. Driving this beautiful classic car around Goodwoods historic Grand Prix circuit is an opportunity not to be missed.ProgrammeYour day will begin with a welcome, introduction and in car safety briefing on circuit driving techniques.
Then youll spend three laps around the historic Goodwood circuit behind the wheel of the legendary Jaguar DType. You will be given a certificate on completion of this experience. Please note at some locations there is an option to purchase damage waiver insurance on the day of your experience. In the event of an accident the damage waiver will cover all or part of the damage caused to the vehicle(s) however this will not cover damage caused by reckless or negligent driving.
