The sheepdog is an intelligent thinking animal. Their ability to be trained to act on the sound of a whistle or word of command is renowned throughout the world & this experience will give you a knowledgeable insight. You will be given an introduction to the long & patient process of training border collies, their mind & basic instincts, the history of sheepdogs & how the relationship between shepherd & dog became what it is today. You will also get to meet the dogs up close so you can see how loveable they really are & try your hand at working them in the ring with the sheep. This is a great experience for any dog lover. You will begin by meeting with your teacher & expert sheepdog trainer. The experience will commence with learning about the history of border collies & how they are trained. Your teacher will demonstrate how to work a dog & then you will have the opportunity to try your hand at this under their supervision, to put your new found knowledge to the test.
