Register your product by going to the WD Support Portal http://support.wdc.com/ and selecting register. You may need to sign up to the site if you have never done this before. On the registration page enter your serial number and it will tell you if your drive is still in warranty. Once your product is registered, you can activate a service plan for the product by clicking on the "service plan" icon for the product On the activation page, enter the activation code from the "Warranty Card" you have received, check the terms and conditions, then press the "Activate
Service Plan" button Your code is activated and your product has been updated with the appropriate service plan Terms This service plan provides an additional 1 year of repair and replacement service beyond the 2 year standard limited warranty WD provides with the drive, giving you a total of 3 years of service coverage from the drive’s purchase date.
