Register your product by going to the WD Support Portal http://support.wdc.com/ & selecting register. You may need to sign up to the site if you have never done this before. On the registration page enter your serial number & it will tell you if your drive is still in warranty. Once your product is registered, you can activate a service plan for the product by clicking on the "service plan" icon for the product On the activation page, enter the activation code from the " Warranty Card" you have received, check the terms & conditions, then press the " Activate Service Plan" button Your code is activated & your product has been updated with the appropriate service plan Terms This service plan provides an additional 1 year of repair & replacement service beyond the 2 year standard limited warranty WD provides with the drive, giving you a total of 3 years of service coverage from the drive’s purchase date.
