Llamas are unique animals, theyre easy to train, they can be very sociable & they are protective of themselves & their herd. On this experience you will get to learn their fascinating history, how to handle them & their behaviour towards humans & other llamas. The main part of the experience is a trek with the llamas across beautiful countryside. Llamas walk at a gentle pace of around two miles an hour so this is a wonderfully relaxed journey. If you love your animals, the llama is definitely one you should meet. Programme Your experience begins with an introduction to llamas followed by instruction on handling the llamas. You will then commence your trek where you walk & lead your llama through the local countryside. After the trek you may have some time back at the farm to meet the other llamas but the exact format varies depending on the location. Please check on booking. Duration This experience will last between 212; & 3 hours, depending on location. Group There will be a maximum of 11 other people in your group. Spectators Unfortunately you cannot bring spectators. Fitness You must be fit enough to walk 4 miles across country, some of which will not be flat. Experience There are no qualifications required. Minimum Age The minimum age is varies from 6 to 12 years, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
