Your instructor will perform an extreme aerobatic sequence. Its then time for you to try & perform the same manoeuvres as your instructor coaches you! The plane used is a Pitts Special. This is a lightweight aerobatic biplane designed by Curtis Pitts. It has accumulated many competition wins since its first flight in 1944. The Pitts Special dominated world aerobatic competition in the 1960s & 1970s &, even today, remains a potent competition aircraft in the lower categories. Programme Your lesson begins with a briefing to describe how an aircraft flies, & the effects of the controls. You then move out to the aircraft & the instructor shows you round the aircraft as he does his walk-round checks. Climb in, strap in, start up & off you go. Be prepared to experience some G as the pilot shows you just how agile these planes can be. Duration 25 minute flight chock to chock with the total experience lasting at least an hour. Group Your tuition is on a one to one basis. Spectators You are welcome to bring along family & friends to watch you take to the skies. Fitness This may not be suitable if pregnant suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, fainting, giddiness, blackouts, high blood pressure or heart conditions. The maximum weight is 17 stone & the maximum height is 6ft 1in. Experience There are no qualifications required. Minimum Age The minimum age is 16 years.
