This is a rare opportunity to reach for the sky in this vintage US biplane & soar away into the wide blue yonder. The Boeing-Stearman is a biplane which served as a primary trainer for the USAAF during the second world war. Its very similar in comparison to a Tiger Moth & even though they were built in the 1930s & 40s a considerable number are still being used around the world today. Your 25 minute flying lesson begins with a pre-flight briefing with your instructor. Pease note at the Cheltenham, Gloucester location your flight will last 20 minutes. You will learn the effects of an aircrafts controls & what you will be doing during your first trial flying lesson. Then its time to walk out to the aircraft where you will be taken on a walk round to see the main control surfaces of the aircraft. Your instructor will take off & then demonstrate some basic manoeuvres &, if the weather is good, the pilot will be able to do some aerobatics & a low fly-by for photos. Then its your turn! Feel the aircraft respond to your lightest touch & experience for yourself the sheer exhilaration of flying. The minimum age for this experience is 16 years old. Maximum weight 108kg (17 stone). This experience may not be suitable for those who are pregnant, have high blood pressure, or heart conditions. Please consult your doctor.
