This is a rare opportunity to reach for the sky in this vintage US biplane & soar away into the wide blue yonder. The Boeing-Stearman is a biplane which served as a primary trainer for the USAAF during the second world war. Its very similar in comparison to a Tiger Moth & even though they were built in the 1930s & 40s a considerable number are still being used around the world today. Your 25 minute flying lesson begins with a pre-flight briefing with your instructor. Pease note at the Cheltenham, Gloucester location your flight will last 20 minutes. You will learn the effects of an aircrafts controls & what you will be doing during your first trial flying lesson. Then its time to walk out to the aircraft where you will be taken on a walk round to see the main control surfaces of the aircraft. Your instructor will take off & then demonstrate some basic manoeuvres &, if the weather is good, the pilot will be able to do some aerobatics & a low fly-by for photos. Then its your turn! Feel the aircraft respond to your lightest touch & experience for yourself the sheer exhilaration of flying. The minimum age for this experience is 16 years old. Maximum weight 108kg (17 stone).
