Micro cats are lightweight, compact & incredibly agile semi rigid race boats & are insanely good fun. Theyre capable of hitting a top race speed of 50mph whilst achieving a turning force of nearly 3 Gs! Hydroplanes are known as the kart of inshore powerboat racing. This class of hydroplane youll be piloting has a huge national & international following & really is the grass roots of this amazing sport. This adrenaline fuelled hands on experience will have you lying face down just inches from the water & with a constantly changing track its guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Programme Upon arrival you will be met by your qualified instructor, who will give you a full safety briefing before leading you out to your stunning vessel. Your experience will start with piloting a race-ready Hydroplane Yamato OSY400, followed by a session co-piloting a race prepared micro cat. At the end youll get off the boat with a huge smile wanting to do it all again. All light refreshments & a buffet style lunch is included. Duration This experience will last 5 hours. Youre probably now wondering what cars you get to drive. There is the Ferrari 458 V8. This is considered to be the best handling Ferrari ever made by many motoring journalists. With 570bhp on tap, it can accelerate to 60mph in 3.4 seconds & onto a top speed of 202mph. Next is the Aston Martin DBS. Similar to the DB9 in looks but thats where the similarities end. The 6.0 litre V12 engine produces 510bhp which hammers the car from 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds. Then finally there is the Lamborghini LP640. In a word: shattering. Having 631bhp delivered via four wheel drive forces you back into the seat. It has so much power in fact, that under hard acceleration, the traction control system has to step in during third & fourth gear, it still wants to spin all four wheels! Get ready for a real taste of hypercars. Programme Your experience will begin with a welcome, introduction & safety briefing on circuit driving techniques. You will then typically receive demonstration laps with an instructor.
