Aurora AS424C Table Top Paper Shredder Cross Cut Black The AS424C is a great shredder to use at home and in a small office, the first thing to notice about the AS424C is its size, it is much smaller than most shredders and rather than being floor standing it is designed for use on a tabletop or on a desk. The small size allows for great space saving, portability and also easy storage if you don't want your shredder on display all the time. To enable the product to be this size though we had to make the paper entry slot 11.5cm wide, so a typical A4 sheet of paper needs to be folded in half lengthways so it will fit into the shredder. We describe the shredder as having a 4 sheet capacity and by this we mean you can take 4 sheets of A4 paper, fold them in half and shred them all in one
go. (If you want to shred full width A4 documents without folding them then please look at the Aurora AS610C 6 sheet shredder.) The AS424C cross cuts documents into small 5 x 47mm pieces which is very secure, it can also shred a single credit card at a time, and don't worry if you accidentally shred a paper clip or staple, this shredder will cope with both. The 5 litre bin is small but good for around 40 sheets before it needs emptying and is transparent so you can view its contents. The shredder itself has a handle for easy removal, auto mode for shredding, a reverse option for clearing any jams, safety cut outs prevent accidental operation, and thermal cut outs protect your shredder from overheating.
