These beautiful, dark-skinned potatoes have lovely yellow flesh with a dark violet internal (antioxidant) ring. Said to have been found in 1588 after a Spanish Armada shipwreck off the coast of Shetl&, it's been grown there & only there ever since, or so the story goes! The long oval potatoes have a roast chestnut flavour to them & a floury texture which makes them great for roasties, chips or crisps! if you want to keep the colour or the internal ring, keep the skins on. Second Early variety. Harvest June-July.
