Introduced c.1860, this self-fertile, late, heavy-cropping variety is one of the most recognisable & widely grown apples, with crisp, acidic flesh that sweetens in storage. It can be used for cooking or eating & will keep for up to 3 months if stored properly. Britain has the best climate in the world for growing apples of the highest quality, flavour & colour. Our apples are grafted onto an M26 rootstock which produces an easy-to-control semi-dwarf tree with medium vigour.
