The Vortex drysuit is Northern Diver’s entry-level model. It is manufactured from a polyester/nylon trilaminate fabric & is available in blue & black. In the past, it has proved to be popular with armed & special forces in Australia, Holl&, Belgium, Ireland & Icel&. It is available in various styles, with the recreational diver version proving to be the most common choice. As with the Cortex, the internal seals are triple-glued, rubber-taped & vulcanised. The knees are fitted with a double-layer padded knee-patch that is printed with rubber for extra protection. This printed rubber protection is also applied to the shoulder areas, which are prone to wear from the straps of a BC. At under £500 this suit represents pretty good value for your money compared with what the competition has to offer.
