SRAM Rival GXP Double Chainset
The Rival OCT Crankset shows the way forward for any serious cyclist&44; putting power to the road while saving weight at the same time. Utilizing Open Core Technology&44; the OCT Crankset`s crank arms are hollow-forged out of AL6066 alloy for maximum strength and mount our new PowerGlide 10-speed chainrings. The Package&44; weighing only 725g&44; is finished off with SRAM`s GXP bottom bracket &44; which has been designed to increase power transfer and rigidity while reducing component wear. OCT construction is stronger and lighter than normal solid-core alloy cranks. GXP Team BB Cups (Included) Cycling Plus Magazine Review &34;SRAM has worked with Truvativ on the design of these heat treated 7075 aluminium two-piece cranks that are available in compact 110mm BCD and traditional-style 130mm BCD. The key-release makes it easy to get at the Giga X-Pipe externally mounted bearings&44; though we would prefer to see the right-hand rather than the left-hand crank attached to the axle as it has a greater peripheral strength. Crank lengths are limited to either 170mm or 172.5mm in the compact 34/50 chainring configuration though&44; curiously&44; there is a 175mm in the traditional 39/53 chainring combination. The PowerGlide chainrings have a beautiful surface treatment that prolongs the life of the teeth and the chain ramped quickly and smoothly up and down -
