This five-day course equips students with the knowledge & skills required to understand the fundamentals of the Structured Query Report (SQR) language & to use SQR for People Soft for reporting & batch processing. Specifically, students learn how to format reports, use variables, run SQR programs from the People Soft Process Scheduler & the desktop, write procedures to develop modular reusable code, prompt for user input, produce multiple reports, & create dynamic SQL among other topics.
The course emphasizes the importance of SQL & the People Soft application database structure, & how the two can be used in the SQR programming environment. The course provides participants with practical solutions to business rules-related requests for reports.
