Product Description

This 5-day course teaches participants to use People Soft Application Engine to program batch solutions to manage the data in a People Soft database. The participants will learn to use Application Engine to execute existing programs, modify existing programs, & create new programs. They will use SQL, People Code, & flow controls to solve business-based batch processing requirements.

This five-day course also teaches participants the essential tools to work with object-oriented People Code. Participants actively build programming skills in a People Soft environment. The tools & skills learned in this course ground the participants in the structure of People Code & prepare them to move on to more advanced applications.

This Course helps the student to:

• Describe People Code
• Use the People Code development tools to write, edit, & debug People Code programs
• Write People Code programs & choose the events in which to place them
• Manipulate data in the component buffer
• Program with object-oriented People Code
• Manipulate data in the data buffers & in SQL tables
• Write a program that incorporates the principles you learned in the course & Charting

• Create batch solutions to manage data
• Use Application Engine as a tool for integration
• Use Application Engine to execute & modify existing programs
• Use Application Engine to create new programs
• To use essential tools to work with Object-Oriented People Code
