This 5 day course is a bundle of two courses:
- Network & Security Manager Fundamentals (NSMF)
- Implementing Intrusion Detection & Prevention (IIDP)
This two-day NSMF course discusses the basic operations of Network & Security Manager. Key topics include server & domain administration, device configuration, template creation & management, policy creation & management, logging, & report generation. Through demonstrations & hands-on labs, students gain experience in configuring, testing, & troubleshooting features of Network & Security Manager.
The three-day section (IIDP) discusses the configuration of Juniper Intrusion Detection & Prevention (IDP) sensors in a typical network environment. Key topics include sensor configuration, creating & fine-tuning security policies, managing attack objects, creating custom signatures, & troubleshooting. This course is based upon IDP software version 4.1 & Security Manager 2007.3.
Through demonstrations & hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring, testing, & troubleshooting the IDP sensor.
