Overview
This five-day instructor-led introductory class teaches students the skills they need to install, configure, & administer IBM Web Sphere Process Server for Multiplatforms V7, a high-performance business engine at the heart of business process management (BPM) & service-oriented architecture (SOA).
This class covers how to install IBM Web Sphere Process Server V7 in a network deployment environment. Students learn about the various deployment topologies available for IBM Web Sphere Process Server, as well as the deployment options for various Web Sphere Process Server components. This class also teaches students about the selection criteria for choosing an appropriate deployment topology.
Students also learn how Web Sphere Process Server uses the service integration bus (Web Sphere Platform Messaging) for all asynchronous communications. Understanding how the service integration bus works & knowing how to integrate it into the design of a topology are necessary for building a highly available Web Sphere Process Server architecture. Finally, students learn about the service integration bus & how to configure it to support high availability & workload management.
Hands-on exercises on the Linux platform are provided throughout the class, giving students practical experience designing, deploying, & troubleshooting a highly available Web Sphere Process Server environment. Through the labs, students deploy IBM Web Sphere Process Server in a clustered environment & verify their deployment. In addition, students deploy a basic Web Sphere Process Server application & use it to test the capabilities of the Web Sphere Process Server environment.
